Based
in London, Andrew is an experienced Senior Telecoms Executive, Business
Developer and Marketer with particular expertise in sourcing and winning
significant business across Europe in the mobile operator space. He has a
specific focus on mobile advertising, mobile location and fixed mobile
convergence. He brings to any role a unique mix of sales director, entrepreneur, marketer,
rainmaker, mobile evangelist and company spokesperson.
Since joining Seeker Wireless in 2004, Andrew has secured business with Vodafone
through an impressive network of contacts at all levels across multiple OpCos
and Vodafone Group. He also has broad range of high level relationships across
Telefonica, Orange, T-mobile, Tele2, Telenor, BT, O2, HP, LogicaCMG, Acision,
Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola, Nokia, Mobily, Turkcell, MegaFon, MTS, Vimpelcom, STC,
Hutchison 3, Google, Yahoo!, Optus, and Telstra.
Andrew has developed a strong
sales pipeline across these and other customers in challenging and competitive
markets.

Andrew is experienced and successful in launching disruptive technologies and
business models into existing markets as well as creating new opportunities
around convergence and mobile marketing in the Telco space. His career spans 20
years working in senior positions across the entire value chain and has a deep
understanding of the Telco market from vendor, operator, analyst, consultant and
media viewpoints.
Previous to the current role, he held senior marketing and management positions
with Australian operators Telstra, Optus and mobile messaging experts Legion
Interactive. He is also experienced in the online space having developed and
launched PropertyLook, a leading Australasian commercial property portal.
Andrew holds a
Master of Business Administration from the University
of Technology, Sydney with sub-majors in eBusiness and Marketing,
and Master’s Degree in Information Technology & Telecommunications
from the University of South Australia. Andrew also developed a
new eBusiness course for the Master of Business and Technology (MBT)

Andrew held a number of technical roles with Optus before moving
into a Marketing role as Product Development Manager for high speed
data products in 1996. Andrew held the position of Business
Development Manager for Infrastructure Investment and Development
with Optus before leaving to join Telstra Corporation in September
1998. Prior to December 1999, Andrew was National Manager for
Business Development in the Marketing area of Telstra’s Business
Solutions group. Prior to joining Property Look, Andrew was
responsible for the development of vertical market opportunities
(portals) across Telstra’s Retail Services group.
Andrew has made significant contributions to the
charities he is involved with, and
developed a promotional video to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Duke of
Edinburgh’s award in Australia, which was shown during a Gala Dinner in November
2002, attended by HRH The Earl of Wessex.
Prior to his move to London,
Andrew was the Technology Director of the
Rotary
Club of Sydney, Australia’s largest and most prestigious Rotary
club, and sat on the board of thee club from 2001 - 2005.
In 2006, he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Sydney in
recognition of his service to the club and the community.
From September 2003 to September 2006, Andrew was a Board Member of the peak
volunteer body, Volunteering NSW, and was also a board member of of the Friends of the Duke of
Edinburgh's Award in Australia.
Andrew is a keen debater, an accomplished Master of Ceremonies and
public
speaker, and regularly speaks to school and community groups about careers
and the IT&T industry in general, and has a keen interest in corporate
governance, and the management of not-for profit organisations.
Andrew is Married, and lives with his Wife, Samantha and Daughter Madeleine in
London where he heads
sales & business development for
Seeker Wireless.
